I’m so excited.  This is my first official blog on my own domain name.  I decided to use word press even though I have no previous experience using this blog software.  Once I had it set up, I browsed around for some free themes at themes.wordpress.net and tried several different ones that just didn’t suit my fancy.  Finally, I found one that I really liked and was ready to settle down and create my new logo using adobe photoshop.  Wow, what “trial and error” steps I took to try and install my new theme, and then figure out how to do some other technical settings…including the way my url would be displayed for each posting. 

I came up with the name of my new blog, “Mom’s Daily Dose” on Friday, September the 8th.  My family was getting ready to go to the library when all of a sudden, the name seemed to pop into my head.  Even though I usually toy around with an idea for awhile before registering a new domain name, I immediately postponed the library trip for about 10 minutes while I went to register my new name. 

Having accomplished the hardest part, I’m excited to finally be writing my first post.  The thought of quitting did occur to me a few times and I just knew that wasn’t an option….Mom’s Daily Dose had to be born.
